Here are some of the friends with whom I have been sailing. They are all
great people, some are better sailors then others, some are better at
washing-up, some are good at mixing a G & T, but all are good company.

BillBill teaches maths and science at a socially deprived school in
East London. He is very keen on barnacles. One weekend he collected
barnacles and a flask of sea water, starved them overnight, then took them into
his science class, put them into the sea water (which was fiull of really nice
stuff that barnacles like to eat) and his pupiuls watched them feeding.

I first sailed with Mark (he's the one on the right) 20 years ago. He used to have a very nice Victoria 30, but is now thinking of purchasing a boat ob n the French canals. Mark was taught to sail by a certain Peter Wright, who became rather well known as the author of 'Spycatcher', a book which took the lid of some rather dubious practices in the British secret service and which the Government tried to ban. Peter was one of the UK's top spooks. This pic was taken in Killary Harbour, Ireland, stupendous scenery. |
DavidDavid is a recent addition to my crew. He has been crewing on a rather bigger Nicholson for a number of years, and downsizing has not been an entirely comfortable experience. He keeps looking for the microwave and the power winches. I'm knocking him into shape. He has a great sense of humor. David's own web page is here |

A fellow crew member was Ian and we have been sailing togetheron and off, ever since.Pictured here on our recent cruise in W Ireland, proving that it doesn't rain all the time in Iralnd. |
